On my first day home for the Holidays, Janae Vlaar-Philbrick became a part of Canadian history, carrying a 2010 Olympic torch through my hometown of Pelham, Ontario! A fun crowd of fellow Canadians gathered to witness the passing of the torch relay, which ends in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics! It was great to see the bright young faces of the youth (many of whom I guessed had taken a break from following Justin Bieber – Canada’s big pop celebrity right now), who are the future of the country. And in today’s world, any peaceful gathering of people is an experience to honor. The Olympic torch this time around is an Inuit design, and we’re stoked to see what Cirque du Soleil has in store for the opening ceremony! Janae is from the neighboring township of Vineland.
