What a Year For John Mellencamp!!!
Not only is John Mellencamp going to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next month, but his song “Our Country” is up for “Best Solo Rock Performance” at this year’s Grammy Awards on February 11th! I remember the day we did the video for that song with @radical media and Cyclops, and there was a wedding happening on the beach in the same area that we needed to shoot. We drove a bargain with the wedding party: provided they moved their ceremony further down the beach, we would put them in the video! As huge Mellencamp fans they agreed, and so that’s the wedding party you see in the video. Teresa Earnest was their wedding photographer (so you know that was a great wedding album), and Chrissy Hall (great photographer), was shooting another wedding and came over to see what all the hub bub was about! It was quite a day! So much thanks goes out to the people of Savannah and Tybee Island, and all the parents who brought their children out and stood by through long hours of filmming for three days!
