OLYMPIADAS ESPECIALES!
Another little treat I brought back from Paraguay were these awesome Christmas Cards put together by the Special Olympics in Paraguay. Each card featured a painting (like the one above by Christian Alvarez) by a physically challenged artist. The paintings on the cards are so vibrant and colorful and beautifully simple; they remind me of the people and the general atmosphere of Paraguay!
I love art that seems so imperfect it just comes from the moment of being. My Spanish reading and speaking skills are still so limited that I can’t understand what the card says (except for Navidad and Ano Nuevo), but boy this artwork just touched my soul!
