Walking the dogs on St. Patrick’s day in Savannah, I met a husband and wife, mid 40s, with four leaf clover antenas bouncing on their heads. The man knelt down and said “Aw, I’ve got to pet the aussie!” He pets Rufus, my Australian shepherd miniature.
Three-sheets-to-the-wind the man says, “I used to have an Australian shepherd just like him. Such a great dog….” True, very true. “One day she ran in front of my truck. Tore me up!” The drawing above indicates my face. What do you say to that? “Hey man, I’m sorry you ran over your own dog?” Wow! This blog goes out to that couple, whatever your names were! You totally blew my mind!
